Job Opportunity Summary
Seeking an experienced, customer-service focused professional with a proven track record of success in healthcare revenue cycle services. This exciting opportunity is newly created, after NiteHawk has recently taken all revenue cycle functions in-house and will be charged with helping to lead the business office functions, as NiteHawk continues to grow both patient volume and the number of facilities in its network. The successful candidate will be one who thrives in an extremely fast paced environment and have the ability to flexibly adapt to constantly changing challenges. Must be a critical thinker, with self-discipline to work independently and prioritize goals based on input from management in a team environment.
Job Duties
· Manages full revenue cycle process
· Scanning documentation into the patient accounting system and EMR
· Review CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
· Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information in patient accounting system and EMR
· Maintain protocols for all charge entry
· Send electronic and paper claims and patient statements
· Minimize and avoid denials of claim reimbursement
· Contact patients/insurance carriers and collect outstanding payments.
· Insurance and patient payment posting
· Management of credit balances
· Complete all month end processes
· Maintain strict confidentiality in regards to patient information
· Float to other business office areas, as required
· Interview, hire, and train personnel
Job Qualifications
Experience
· Medical Billing (2 years Required, 3-5 years Preferred)
· Medical Coding (2 years Preferred)
· Medical Collections (2 years Required, 3-5 years Preferred)
· Medical Insurance Verification (2 years Required, 3-5 years Preferred)
Required Skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Must be a team player who is comfortable working efficiently in a very fast paced environment
· Must be a problem solver
· Ability to accurately type 35-50 WPM
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
· Must be able to enter, analyze, and sort data as well as generate reports using Excel
· Experience with AdvancedMD software a plus
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Knowledge of medical insurance benefits
· Willingness to learn
Education/Certifications
High School or Equivalent (Required)
Certified Coder (Preferred)
College Degree or some College (Preferred)
