What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHARMACIST position at NITELINES USA, INC?
NEEDED: PHARMACIST
LOCATION: 1301 Dale Bumpers, Forrest City, AR 72335
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 30 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain a current, unrestricted Pharmacist license.
- Have completed an accredited program in pharmacy and be able to provide transcripts of the training leading to the degree (Possession a Bachelor or Pharm D. degree).
- Shall have a current CPR certification, or BLS certification.
- Correctional experience is preferred, but not required.
- Must possess knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures to perform job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems and of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
- Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with physician, peers, inmates, and others; to recognize, report, and record changes in patient’s physical and emotional condition; and to administer medication.
DUTIES: Shall be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Interpret physician and advanced practice provider prescription orders.
- Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer and print prescription labels.
- Select the correct medication and prepare the prescription.
- Inventory medication and supplies.
- Enter data for medications and supplies order in the prime vendor computer system.
- Maintain minimum quantities on stock items and notify the institution pharmacist of items to order.
- File all reports pertaining to the pharmacy, including patient records.
- Dispense, administer, and record entries for the required medication.
- Possess a working knowledge and maintain technical computer skills pertaining to Pharmacy issues.
- Must participate in Improving Organizational Performance Data and Quality Assurance Activities as directed by the Pharmacist or HSA.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Refill and inventory of Pyxis machines & utilization of Scriptpro machine for dispensing, refilling and verification.
