Overview
Lead improvement activities, launches, and projects for the Production Department. Assist Supervisor in coordinating daily activities
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and overseeing manufacturing systems including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SPC, Inventory Control, etc;
- Lead and coordinate continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, Quality Circles,etc;
- Oversee launch of new production processes and product including RU Ready format;
- Interface effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customer including coordinating and leading meetings;
- Supervise Team Leaders as needed;
- Back up Supervisor position as needed;
- Adhere to NGK policies and procedures and ensures area of responsibility is compliant;
- Investigate safety issues and accidents as necessary;
- Perform auditing of the process as required;
- Provide thorough and accurate reports;
- Develop/maintain effective operating procedures;
- Maintain safety regulations and provide instruction on safe practices for subordinates;
- Analyze statistical data to support continuous improvement projects and assist in meeting required goals;
- Function as a First Responder and Emergency Commander per the WVSM Manual
- Understand/comply with QMS policy/procedures;
- Understand/comply with EMS policy/procedures;
- Adhere to safety policy/procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Combination of post-secondary education and/or previous associated work experience commensurate to five years required.
Salary : $44,600 - $69,200
