About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and high-quality 2D and 3D models of complex mechanical components and assemblies. You will work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings and support the entire product development lifecycle.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering drawings, including GD&T and other relevant annotations.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to understand design requirements and translate them into detailed CAD models.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback on design concepts.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Maintain and organize CAD data within the 3Dx platform.
- Stay abreast of the latest CAD technologies and best practices.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including quality and safety standards.
Who we are looking for:
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of part and assembly techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks; SolidWorks Professional certification is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of GD&T and its application to various manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, molding, machining).
- Working knowledge of materials science and their application in product design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize 1 tasks and meet deadlines.
