About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Electrical Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development of cutting-edge ignition coil modules. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of innovative ignition coil modules, ensuring they meet stringent performance, quality, and cost targets.
- Conduct thorough product testing and analysis, including developing and executing test plans and analyzing test data to identify and resolve issues.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and test reports.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, purchasing, quality) to ensure smooth product development and launch.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in ignition coil technology, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Represent Niterra at industry events and conferences as needed.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the design and development of ignition coil modules.
- Strong understanding of ignition coil operation, including theoretical principles and practical applications.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and testing methodologies related to ignition coils.
- Proven experience with automotive technologies, particularly in powertrain and emissions systems.
- Expertise in materials science, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and data analysis tools.
- Experience with APQP and other quality methodologies is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
