Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Combination of post-secondary education and/or previous associated work experience commensurate to minimum of 3-5 years experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to identify and resolve basic network/connectivity problems
- Excellent organization, planning and administration with effective time management
- Adapt to changing needs in fast paced office and cope with stressful situations
- Understanding of how to install and configure network equipment
- Multi-tasking, highly tactful and diplomatic as well as effective communication
- Advanced computer skills including troubleshooting network connectivity, ISP, DNS and other network related technologies
- Effective communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Experience working with/on networking hardware/technologies such as firewalls, routers, switch’s, VPNs, etc.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems and find solutions.
- Knowledge of Networking standards/protocols to properly troubleshoot and implement technologies.

Essential Duties:
- Work directly with Network Supervisor to maintain and administer networking environment., including routers, switches and firewalls.
- Work directly with Network Supervisor and Niterra’s Security team to Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect the Niterra’s networking environment, data, software, hardware and users.
- Monitor the performance of the networking environment, document and report any anomalies to direct management.
- Maintain an accurate asset list of active and decommissioned equipment ensuring decommissioned equipment has been sanitized and held for pickup. ; Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance, repair records, system updates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations
- Define, document, implement and maintain backup procedures for all network devices and to ensure software license compliance of NOS. Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel to facilitate required upgrades or purchases
- Familiar with Vlans and segregation of OT networks.
- Understand/comply with QMS/EMS policy/procedures; Adhere to safety policy/procedures
- Perform necessary updates in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of Servers
- Knowledge of Google, GWS.GCP environment.
- Assist Operations Support staff
- Special project coordination assigned by management
- Cross train with and provide for other IT associates
- General housekeeping duties
- Overtime and/or travel as required
