Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records for both Niterra North America and Niterra Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. This position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, international environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post accurate general journal entries, including recurring and non-standard entries, for both Niterra N.A. and Niterra Canada.
- Maintain assigned general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit assigned consolidation package forms for Niterra N.A. and Niterra Canada Ltd.
- Process debit and credit memos from the CBO, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
- Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Provide support for J-SOX compliance, external audits, and quarterly reviews, including preparing schedules and documentation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 related policies, as applicable.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
