Project Supervisor - Sensor Manufacturing Operations

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Supervisor to lead and oversee production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to company standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will play a crucial role in driving production goals, managing inventory, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Oversee daily production activities to meet or exceed production and yield goals.
- Monitor production schedules and proactively address potential delays, reporting to management promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, and safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize inventory control and production efficiency.
- Establish and maintain proper machine control settings.
- Create, validate, and audit operating procedures for effectiveness.
- Analyze statistical data to drive process improvements and enhance performance.
- Provide detailed and accurate reporting on all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and manage a team of production personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with and solicit feedback from the workforce.
- Identify training needs and provide departmental training as required.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Address disciplinary issues and conduct counseling meetings as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Back up Team Leader positions as needed.
- Project Management and Process Improvement:
- Coordinate and complete projects assigned by management.
- Lead and assist continuous improvement activities, including problem-solving, Kaizen, and quality circles.
- Oversee the launch of new production processes and products.
- Focus on process improvements related to efficiencies and output.
- Assist in creating KPI goals for the department including kosu, budomari, performance efficiency, and cost per piece.
- Perform auditing of the process as required.
- Maintain required programs / systems within production (TPM, 5S, inventory control, etc.).
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Interface effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders.
- Function as an emergency First Responder per WVSM.
- Assist with investigations regarding safety issues and accidents.
- General Duties:
- Maintain general housekeeping duties (5S).
- Be flexible to work overtime and travel as required.
- Be flexible regarding working off shifts as needed.
- Complete continuing education courses as required by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in problem identification and resolution.
- Strong organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to see and hear (correctable).
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Blueprint interpretation skills.
- Technical/analytical abilities.
- Supervisory/management experience.
- Experience with IATF, ISO, TISAX, and ISMS standards.
