The Insurance, Safety and Risk Administrator maintains and implements the Company’s risk management plan, including claims processing, negotiation, procurement and management of various insurance policies. The position is responsible for handling emergency events which may arise throughout the Company, leading the safety committee, planning, assigning and coordinating risk management programs, including worker's compensation, employee safety, occupational health, general loss control, and property, vehicle and liability exposures. The Insurance, Safety and Risk Administrator must be able to work with minimal direction and use independent judgment within the Company’s guidelines and policies. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing safety and risk plans
- Enforcing policies
- Conducting risk assessments
- Investigating accidents
- Ensuring compliance with legal guidelines
- Creating a safe work environment
- Administering risk management programs
- Modifying policies to comply with safety legislation
- Acting as a liaison to insurance companies and individuals
- Conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections
- Planning and implementing preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
- Inspecting equipment
- Training staff on safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management or a related field or equivalent of five years’ experience within all lines of insurance, loss prevention and risk management.
Salary starting at $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
