Nittany Eye Associates is a multi-doctor eye care practice with five locations across Central Pennsylvania. We are seeking an energetic, passionate and driven Optometric Technician to join our team.

The Optometric Technician assists the doctor with patient eye care by recording medical history, utilizing our state-of-the-art technology to perform preliminary testing, educating patients on various ocular conditions/medications, and providing an overall exceptional patient experience.

Our Technicians have the ability to become involved in a variety of specialty areas including but not limited to Contact Lenses, Refractive Surgery, Clinical Research, Low Vision, and Vision Therapy. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong multi-tasking and communication skills, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and have a desire to learn and grow.

Optometric Technician Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Detail Oriented and driven
  • Eager to learn new things
  • Basic medical terminology a plus, but not required
  • High school diploma
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, web browsers)
  • Familiarization with Electronic Medical Records preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
