Role Summary: The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing the schedule of production activities, ensuring that production goals are met by their deadline without sacrificing performance quality. The Production Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. They provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. The Production Schedule will also be responsible for managing and setting up parts in the ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Determine production requirements
- Evaluate inventory needs for production orders
- Utilize ERP system to generate manufacturing work orders
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments
- Revise production schedules when necessary due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, and/or production
- Support sales staff with customer service functions including general order information and shipment verification
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and the company
- Self-motivated, dependable, and thorough
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proven work experience as a Production Scheduler or similar role
- Manufacturing experience required
- Familiarity with production scheduling software and Microsoft office
- Standard costing experience preferred
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
