What You’ll Do:
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate the best total cost of ownership.
- Monitor commodity markets and communicate adjustments across the organization.
- Optimize supply incentives by managing rebate reporting.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and achieve corporate turn targets.
- Proactively manage material requirements to avoid stockouts and supply disruptions.
- Liaise with suppliers to address inventory, quality, and payment discrepancies.
- Track pricing indexes and oversee contracts and terms management.
- Collaborate across departments to forecast needs and make strategic purchase decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills and Experience
- 4 years of buying experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (packaging and distribution preferred).
- Experience with corrugated products is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other system programs.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as ISM or APICS are a plus.
