Industrial Painter

Position Title: Painter

Business Unit: Structural Fabrication

Location: Rockport, IN

Reports To: Operations Manager

The Painter prepares surfaces, paints a wide variety of projects ranging from structural steel and other miscellaneous metals, and handles and maintains flow of materials and products in the processing areas according to established guidelines.

Our ideal candidate will

• Layout items to be painted
• Prepare items to be painted including all sanding, masking, and repair work
• Paint all items, flip with crane and paint other side
• Move painted items to overhead door for loader to move to laydown are for loading
• Operate overhead crane to move materials
• Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork
• Follows all company and common sense safety policies while using all required personal protective equipment
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Contribute to our team environment by anticipating the needs of co-workers, bringing a positive attitude into our culture and showing an eagerness to discover and share new opportunities for our organization

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in shops
• Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
• Strong organizational skills

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
