What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager position at Nix Industrial?
The Senior Project Manager will work directly with customers, vendors and Nix Industrial Team Members to ensure that projects meet customer expectations and timeline. Tasks associated with this position will include managing customer expectations through regular communication, material procurement, quality control, and project coordination between multiple production locations and departments.
Our ideal candidate will
- Perform and coordinate operational needs for assigned projects including material purchasing, writing subcontracts, scheduling, deliveries, and installation
- Serve as the point of contact for the customer for assigned projects for information involving design, timeline, complications, quality control, and invoicing
- Ensure all projects are completed within the desired scope through the review of CAD drawings, work instructions, and construction documents
- Develop current vendor relationships and explore additional opportunities for improvement
- Provide mentorship and direction to Project Coordinators and Junior Project Managers
- Travel to customer sites and communicate effectively with customers to provide information and measurements for the development of designs of fabrication projects
- Perform all other duties as assigned and required
- Follow all company and common-sense safety policies while using all required personal protective equipment

Desired Qualifications
- Project Management experience within the metal fabrication industry is preferred
- Ability to read design drawings required
