Sheet metal forming and fabrication at Nix includes the operations of laser cutting, press brakes, and various types of welding for manufacturing, industrial, commercial, and transportation industries. What Will You Do? The Fabrication Coordinator will continue the growth of becoming a premiere employer in New Albany and the greater Louisville area by promoting a safe and efficient work environment for all team members. This position will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations, as well as assist in the development of customer relationships and the growth of new business. This person will work closely with Business Development, Human Resources, Engineering, and other Operational Leaders to achieve the overall goals and strategies of Nix.

How Will You Do It?

Work with customers as their primary contact to develop project-specific solutions

Facilitate and manage the shop schedule to meet all production goals and standards

Complete all internal reporting as necessary

With assistance from the maintenance team, ensure all equipment preventative maintenance programs are maintained

Work to continuously improve all safety, quality, and efficiency standards

Assist Management and HR in recruitment and hiring needs

Assist with interviews and provide training

Make recommendations for necessary tools and small equipment

Organization, maintenance, and periodic audit of all tooling

Work with the Sales Team and customers to develop a project timeline that fits within operational constraints

When needed, participate in pre-job meetings with all necessary parties

Manage and direct product delivery routes locally and regionally

Manage all subcontractors for projects

Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork.

Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment, when necessary.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes

• Knowledge of business operating systems

• 5 years experience in sheet metal fabrication, fabrication processes, and/or metal forming

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Organization with attention to detail

• Works well in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
