We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel.
If you have previous experience and familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for working in the office assisting with various duties, including accounting (accounts payable, receivable, charge accounts, databases, etc.), and any other office-related duties as needed.
- Maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, and vendors
- Maintain orderly appearance of office areas
- Assist cashiers and sales associates as needed (includes assisting with needs related to the Point of Sale system, computers, credit/debit cards, charge accounts, gift cards, returns, financing, scheduling, shipping, phones, and even lunches)
- Be cross-trained in all specific office duties assigned to other office employees
- Working as a cashier or receptionist if needed, which means that qualifications these positions must be met
The essential minimum requirements for this position include:
· High school degree or GED
· A commitment to service and customer satisfaction
· Ability to effectively communicate to customers and associates
· Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, effective communication, ability to multi-task
· Exceptional math skills (calculating finance charges, percentages, discounts)
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business
· Ability to freely access all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, register area, and office
· Ability to operate and use all electronic equipment used in the store (excluding heavy machinery)
· Ability to safely climb ladders
· Ability to stand or sit for an extended period of time.
· Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
· Skilled with Word, Excel, and 10-key
Non-essential but desired requirements:
· Experience in an office or retail environment preferred but not required
· Knowledge of retail computer systems and computerized register systems preferred but not required
Job requirements subject to change based on the needs of the business

Pay: $17.00 per hour
