Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the installation and/or repair and cleaning of pellet stoves in customers’ homes, and communicating effectively with the customer.
· Install stoves and stove pipe according to building codes and manufacturer guidelines
· Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, properly install, repair, and clean stoves
· Communicate operating instructions and safety concerns to customers
· Return customer calls promptly, and communicate estimated arrival times
· Update electronic work order to track parts used, labor hours, mileage, findings and recommendations given customer.
· Accept seasonal re-assignment to other job descriptions to meet the demands of the business
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The essential minimum requirements for this position include:
· High school degree or GED
· Trustworthiness to enter customer homes
· Knowledge of and ability to comply with building codes and manufacturer guidelines
· Ability to read and understand diagrams and calendars
· Willingness to learn
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers and employees
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings if jobs run longer than scheduled.
· Ability to freely access all areas of the store, including selling floor, stock area, register area, and office.
· Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to perform tasks
· Meet minimum requirements with the DMV history to be able to drive company vehicles
· Excellent communication skills
