Primary Tasks & Major Activities
Serve as the educational leader of K-6 building(s). Responsible for the educational programs and services in the school building(s) in accordance with District policies and procedures. Responsible for implementing District programs, policies and procedures under the direction of the Building Principal(s). Supervise and evaluate curriculum and assessment data to implement best practices in instructional strategies. Provide leadership and supervision of student, staff, and school programs. Responsible for student discipline, supervision, and school climate. Promote and assist with professional development. Plan/supervise summer school. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Building Principal(s).
Educational/Skills/Experience Required
Masters degree in Educational Administration and Missouri Administration Certificate required; Specialist Degree preferred. Effective communicator, team builder, goal achiever with strong work ethic. A strong knowledge of Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and effective instructional strategies. Willingness to collaborate with peers. Strong technology skills, knowledge of Brain-Based Learning/Environment, Cooperative Learning, Writer's Workshop, Love & Logic, Research-Based Math, and Differentiated Instruction preferred. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
