Primary Tasks & Major Activities
Perform supervisory duties in a learning lab for students. Provide support for character education and social emotional learning during student enrichment rotation. Collaborate with teachers and other instructional staff to develop curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that integrate social emotional education and other programs or services as determined by the building.Carry out non-instructional duties as assigned and/or as needed to ensure student safety. Conduct assigned activities from the administration in conformity with the approved policies of the Board of Education, the regulations of DESE and state and federal laws. Participate cooperatively with the building principal in performance evaluations as stated in the district's policies/procedures. Perform other duties as assigned at the request of the Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment or building principal.
Educational/Skills/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate preferred. Must have at least 60 college credit hours and have a substitute certificate if teaching certificate is not valid or not obtained. Willingness to collaborate with peers. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
