Job Duties and Responsibilities :

As a Lead Drain Plumbing Technician at Nixco Plumbing, your role will include :

• Performing Drain Cleaning and Repair Services : Cleaning, unclogging, and repairing drains in sinks, bathtubs, showers, and sewer lines using professional equipment such as snakes, augers, and hydro-jetters.
• Camera Inspections : Utilizing sewer cameras to diagnose drain issues and locate blockages, ensuring the most accurate solutions are offered.
• Maintenance of Drain Systems : Offering regular maintenance services to prevent future clogs and educate customers on how to avoid potential issues.
• Emergency Services : Responding to emergency drain problems, such as sewage backups or major clogs, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Installing and Replacing Drain Components : Replacing or installing new drain lines, traps, and other plumbing fixtures when necessary.
• Diagnosing Drain and Sewer Issues : Troubleshooting drain problems and diagnosing underlying causes, providing recommendations to customers for repairs and maintenance.
• Jetting Services : Performing high-pressure water jetting services to remove tough blockages from sewer lines (experience with jetting is a plus).
• Providing Excellent Customer Service : Communicating clearly with customers about their plumbing needs, explaining technical issues, and recommending appropriate services or repairs.
• Documentation : Completing detailed service reports, maintaining accurate records of work performed, and communicating findings to customers and office staff via iPad-based software.
• Maintaining Equipment : Keeping tools and trucks well-maintained and ready for use at all times.

What We’re Looking For :

Employees must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a background, motor vehicle check and drug screening. Maintaining eligibility to operate company vehicles is a fundamental job requirement. All employees that operate company vehicles must maintain their driving record as insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance provider.
