Nixon Peabody LLP is seeking a results-driven Sales Professional to go to market, in alignment with practice group attorneys, to execute this dynamic national group’s strategic plan. This position is pivotal in driving revenue by generating qualified leads and building strong relationships in the healthcare industry.
The ideal candidate will leverage his/her own established network and industry expertise to identify, prioritize, and cultivate client opportunities. Collaborating closely with practice leadership and the Marketing and Business Development team, the Sales Professional will increase Nixon Peabody’s national profile as a trusted advisor in healthcare law and assist in adding to its significant client base. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement.

Our healthcare practice represents a diverse range of healthcare provider clients, including hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, digital health and telemedicine companies, private equity firms, behavioral health entities, skilled nursing facilities, and more.
We are seeking a sales professional with deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, established connections with key decision makers at healthcare provider entities, and proven experience in business development to help expand our national market footprint.

Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with Business Development and healthcare leadership to activate and refine go-to-market strategies in alignment with the developed strategic plan and identify key geographic growth markets.
- Lead Generation: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and pursuing client opportunities that align with the firm’s strategic goals.
- Networking: Forge relationships with industry stakeholders and referral sources to enhance visibility and foster meaningful partnerships.
- Market Intelligence: Track and analyze market trends to inform strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
- Events and Engagements: As requested, arrange and attend high-impact events, including seminars, networking programs, and client or prospect dinners, to deepen relationships and drive business opportunities.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven network within healthcare industry.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, creative, flexible, results-oriented and the ability to prioritize appropriately.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients; manage multiple tasks with “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
- Significant (10 years) sales experience within the healthcare industry, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment. Demonstrated experience with key decision makers at healthcare entities who influence the selection of legal services.
- Bachelor’s degree. Graduate degree preferred (MBA, MPH, etc).
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to align business development activities with organizational goals and market demands.
- Outgoing, sales-oriented personality. An extroverted networker with creative means to keep connected in remote work environment. Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills; expertise in lead generation and pipeline management. Ability to understand, explain, and sell complicated legal services to institutional clients.

- Chicago, IL: $134,038 to $199,500
- New York, NY and Long Island, NY: $145,694 to $216,870
