Niyam is seeking an Okta Engineer in support of our work with FEMA. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. This is a short term position that lasts through the end of September 2025.  This position is remote, but may require some travel.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, integrating, and deploying Okta in client environments. This candidate will play a crucial role in implementing Identity and Access Governance solutions that provide advanced identity lifecycle services and ensure secure information distribution.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Migrate applications from IBM WebSEAL platform to Okta.
• Design, develop, configure, integrate, test, and deploy Okta Lifecycle Management (LCM) solutions integrate with LDAP services leveraging SCIM, Okta Workflows, Okta Hooks to deliver seamless identity lifecycle management activities.
• Take user stories and requirements in the Agile board and develop the capabilities to Okta.
• Manage development cycles in an Agile environment, ensuring work is completed in two-week sprints.
• Develop technical architectures for integrating identity management, access management, and access governance software into client infrastructure and applications.
• Utilize programming languages such as Okta REST APIs, Sign-in Widgets, SDKs, Java, JavaScript, JSP/Servlets, and SQL.
• Collaborate with a distributed team, often communicating virtually to support IAM applications.
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• US Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust through DHS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6 years of experience in designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting Okta solutions in a production environment. 
• Advanced experience developing and implementing customized solutions in Okta platform.
• Familiar with SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, biometrics, PIV/CAC/Smartcard, PKI, FIDO 2.0, and password less authentication.
• Familiar with SCIM, Okta LCM, Okta Workflows, Okta Hooks and automations, Directory integrations, User management, App integration, Identity Governance.
  
• Proficiency in programming languages including Okta REST APIs, Sign-in Widgets, SDKs, Java, JavaScript, JSP/Servlets, and SQL.
• Proficiency in Identity & Access Governance, access control, and access request processes.
• Technical architecture experience integrating identity and access management solutions into client infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work  independently and remotely, while maintaining strong communication with the team in Rosslyn, VA and Washington, DC.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Prior Federal Contract Experience
• Relevant Okta certifications are highly desired.
