Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
- Maintain control of dogs at all times, using appropriate leashes and harnesses.
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
- Provide basic training commands to reinforce good behavior while walking.
- Clean up after dogs during walks, ensuring a tidy environment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as transporting large dog crates or supplies.
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for transporting equipment or supplies.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with both dogs and their owners.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
