Job Summary
CURE Auto Insurance has openings due to our continuing growth and success in our New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania markets. We are looking for a highly effective individual with 3 years of claims handling experience to serve as our internal compliance auditor. The audits will involve benchmarking staff execution of individual state statutory and regulatory requirements as well as compliance with CMS reporting requirements. The position will report directly to the AVP, Claims Operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Completes recurring and routine audits that involve benchmarking staff execution of individual state statutory and regulatory requirements as well as individual and departmental compliance with CMS reporting requirements.
Presents summary reporting of audit compliance findings and trends to management.
Serves as a stakeholder towards potential solutions, implementation and corrective actions that would assist the organization with compliance management.
Researches and monitors regulatory requirements to ensure thorough understanding of compliance obligations.
Contributes to the development of compliance training and expectations for both new hires and existing staff based on compliance execution trends, insights, and new developments.
Sources, maintains and runs database reporting to isolate segments of claims applicable for required auditing.
Education Requirements:
B.S./B.A. four-year degree from accredited institution
Experience/Qualification Requirements:
3 years of auto insurance claims experience (Preferred experience handling multiple coverage types of auto insurance claims)
Must possess good computer, communication, and organizational skills
Comprehensive knowledge of general insurance and state regulations
Thorough knowledge of claims investigation practices and techniques
Operates with a sense of urgency
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable working at a fast pace with deadlines
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to solve a challenge
Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions.
Starting Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually based on experience - Exempt role
Schedule: Full-Time; Mondays – Fridays, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Location: Princeton, NJ office (hybrid schedule)
