Gotham FC is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
The Role
Gotham FC is seeking a strategic thinker with an in-depth knowledge of the youth soccer landscape to join the business as Youth Soccer Lead. This role is not a sporting / coaching role, but rather a business role, with the purpose to drive deeper engagement and partnership with youth clubs. This person will provide direct operational and strategic support to Gotham FC’s Chief Business Officer and Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations, spearheading Gotham FC’s youth soccer programs and helping drive the direction, operation, and success of all efforts from clinics to youth club partnerships. Additionally, this individual will provide cross-functional support to relevant internal teams including ticketing and brand & fan experience and occasionally to the Pro Player Pathway Director.
Key Responsibilities
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends as needed. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness and ability to travel regionally for business-related needs (e.g., for clinics, events). Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Key Responsibilities
- Forge and maintain strong relationships with key personnel and youth club leaders in the New Jersey / New York youth soccer community
- Serve as primary point of contact for youth soccer stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service to all relevant parties (e.g., youth league organizers, coaches, parents, players)
- Develop and manage a Gotham FC youth clinic / camps program, overseeing all execution in coordination with youth clubs and other relevant parties (e.g., Gotham FC coaching staff, players)
- Build and launch a Gotham FC Youth Club program, successfully onboarding local youth clubs at various membership tiers and delivering a value-additive partnership for all
- Execute youth soccer programming from ideation to delivery, providing hands-on management and support for all efforts
- Collaborate across ticketing, brand & fan experience, partnerships, and soccer operations to coordinate and maximize youth soccer programming efforts and support ongoing efforts as needed including group ticket sales and youth soccer newsletter
- Design and lead future youth soccer programming efforts, including planning longer-term initiatives based on business needs, customer feedback, and market trends
- Help drive greater brand awareness and fan development via efforts, building the next generation of Gotham FC supporters
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of experience as an administrator, operator, or coach with a professional club, youth club, league, collegiate, or professional sporting organization (preferably soccer)
- Thorough understanding of the youth soccer landscape (preferably in New Jersey / New York area)
- Self-motivated, highly organized, has exceptional time management and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and work cross-functionally to drive results
- Experience providing high-end customer service
- Ability to develop a strategic plan and translate it into a set of deliverables
- Enthusiastic team player who takes pride in producing a high-quality work product
- High level of professionalism and accountability
- Passionate about growing women’s soccer and has a drive to increase Gotham FC’s brand awareness
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel regularly within the region
- Full-time, Exempt
- $75,000 - $85,000 annually
