We are seeking a skilled Pain Medicine Physician to lead our Interventional Pain Management department at NJ Sports Spine & Wellness. The ideal candidate will assess patients with acute and chronic pain, developing comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate medication management, therapeutic injections, and coordination with physical therapists and other specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with complex pain conditions and create personalized treatment strategies.
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and other pain-relieving interventions.
- Prescribe medications and modify dosages as needed while monitoring for potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to integrate pain treatment with overall patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain thorough patient records and provide updates during multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Stay current with advancements in pain management and related medical fields.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- A valid state medical license.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pain Management.
- Strong clinical skills, preferably with a background in anesthesiology or physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- A commitment to the highest standards of patient care and medical ethics.
- Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSK) certification.
