Director Rail Infrastructure Design- (SIGNAL)
Summary :
This position presents the exciting professional opportunity for you to grow your career and to make a difference by working to ensure the hiring of top talent committed to the revitalization of NJ TRANSIT.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Directs the activities of assigned Infrastructure Design group in all aspects of engineering design. Ensures accurate and timely development of shop and / or construction drawings and specifications in support of in-house or contract forces.
- Directs the activities of the Managers of Design, Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff in the progress of design related activities. Ensures a well-defined work scope, complete, timely and bid ready design products.
- Administers the distribution and assignment of design and construction projects with respect to budget, time, and technical requirements.
- Directs engineering staff as needed, in the required procurement protocols and board approval process for the successful award of design and / or construction service contracts.
- Provides professional leadership, administrative and technical support to staff.
- Interfaces with public and private agencies, individuals, and organizations to represent the interests of NJ TRANSIT.
