Mechanic B- Substation :
Summary : Employee is assigned to install and maintain remote control equipment, including switchboard instruments and wiring thereof at substation and remote-control points.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Must be qualified to inspect, repair, and maintain breaker houses, oil switches, transformers, network protectors and all other appurtenances necessary in electric traction substation department.
- Must be capable to take out clearances for himself and others under the supervision of substation.
- Installation, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial or industrial electrical wiring.
Basic Requirements :
This is a Unionized position.
Rate of pay :
The pay rates are tiered and are non-negotiable based on years and types of experience. Tiers start at $29.11 (80% of the full rate). The 100%-tiered rate is $36.39.
Work Location : Newark, Hoboken
