Duties

- Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper coding for diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) requirements.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities related to their care.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and coding practices to enhance efficiency in administrative tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving medical records or patient coordination.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes, including knowledge of medical collections and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar software is advantageous.
