Job Overview
- The Product Innovation Director is responsible for working between the NJEDA's ITS, product development, and Business Units. The Product Innovation Director represents IT capabilities in product discussions, providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring the delivery of effective technology solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for product stakeholders regarding IT-related inquiries and supports the end-to-end development process.

Duties Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central point of contact for product stakeholders regarding IT-related inquiries and requests.
- Advocate for IT capabilities in application development discussions, ensuring ITS is consistently involved.
- Monitor and triage product changes during and post-launch, coordinating with business and product teams.
Projects:

- Support the end-to-end development process.
- Enable ITS to have a voice in product creation, development, and build processes.
- Centralize IT inquiries and oversight for documentation processes.

Collaboration and Cross-Divisional Interaction:
- This role will collaborate with NJEDA's ITS, the Office of Innovation, product development teams, and Business Units by representing IT capabilities in product discussions, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the delivery of effective technology solutions. This role will serve as the main contact for product stakeholders and support the entire development process from start to finish as well identify other efficiencies throughout the Authority.
Reporting Structure:
- This role will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer
- Lead a diversified team, the size of the team will depend upon demand, in problem-solving and innovative thinking
- This role will independently address product and operational inefficiencies with minimal supervision.
- Must complete annual self-assessment as required.

- Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant job experience will be considered equally.
Software/Tools Proficiency:
- Project Management such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum; IT Service Management such as ITIL 4 Foundation, ITIL 4 Managing Professional; IT Governance and Compliance such as CISM, CGEIT (not required)
- NJEDA utilizes Microsoft as the core application platform and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
