New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is a leading not-for-profit agency, serving infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities across New Jersey.
We are seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team of over 500 staff members. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by assisting residents with daily living activities in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and supervise activities related to daily living skills.
- Administer or assist with prescribed medication.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Provide transportation assistance.
- Support the implementation of individual goals and objectives.
- Enter data using Therap (Electronic Health Record) system.
- Facilitate residents in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid driver's license in good standing, with insurability through NJID's automobile insurance.
- Strong communication skills essential.
Position Details:
Location: Aberdeen, Monmouth County.
Hours per Work Week: 19 hours.
Weekly Work Schedule: Friday 3 pm - 10 pm; Saturday & Sunday 10 am - 4 pm.
Other shifts available at this location.
