Job Overview
The New Jersey State League of Municipalities seeks to fill the position of Staff Attorney.
The Staff Attorney, under the general supervision of the League Executive Director and the League General Counsel, will perform legal research and prepare documents, reports, summaries and recommendations; briefs and related work for use by the League Executive Director, General Counsel and Legislative Analysts on issues related to Local Government, including legislative and regulatory issues.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must hold a J.D. and an active New Jersey law license. New Jersey residency is required. Consideration will be given to an otherwise qualified candidate who has not yet obtained admission in New Jersey, provided that the person takes and passes the next scheduled New Jersey State Bar Examination and thereafter maintains admission to practice in the State of New Jersey. Salary range in the low to mid-70s. No phone calls.
