Summary
SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician III - Infusion Services position is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of patients through the infusion practice setting by facilitating examinations and treatment of patients while exhibiting exceptional customer service. The position will perform a variety of medication duties related to the procurement, preparation, distribution and storage of infusion-based medication use; as well as, assisting with ambulatory clinic services according to pharmacy's role in ensuring safe medication use. This role will communicate and work effectively with patients and various members of the healthcare team including clinical support staff and providers.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum three (3) years of experience in healthcare, finance, customer service or related field.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Great interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone. Ability to use common computer programs including spreadsheets, word processing documents, and electronic medical records. Good organizational skills and the ability to schedule and prioritize tasks. Proficient with common office resources (phones, computers, scanners, etc.).
OTHER: Maintain pharmacy technician licensure and credentials in good standing and maintain continuing education credits as required by Missouri Board of Pharmacy and any other regulatory agencies.
EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent, Preferred: Associates - Related Field, Bachelors - Related Field
