Job Title: Temporary Helpdesk Associate

Reports To: Helpdesk Supervisor
Your Role:
The temporary Helpdesk Associate is a temporary position with the potential of becoming a full-time Helpdesk Engineer. The Helpdesk Associate will assist in daily helpdesk tasks and support requests. The position requires a team player who will be expected to be organized, motivated, and demonstrate a professional attitude. They will have a basic understanding of Windows-based computers and troubleshooting methodologies.
What will you do?
- Create Purchase Orders in the Concur system for the purchasing of IT equipment
- Receiving, handling, decommissioning, and tracking of all helpdesk inventory
- Image, configure, deploy, and relocate corporate desktops and laptops
- Install and configure standard software applications
- Deploy hardware peripherals, following design or installation specifications.
- Perform repairs to hardware and peripheral equipment. Processing warranties with vendors
- Participate in project work in addition to regular duties.
- Respond to Tier 1 Helpdesk tickets via the Helpdesk ticketing system, Solarwinds Service Desk.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
What Do you Need to Succeed:
- Working knowledge (ie: administration) of Microsoft Windows workstations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency and time management skills
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Superior organizational skill
Educational Requirements and Certifications:
- A candidate currently pursuing a degree in Information systems and technology.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Occasional, standing, walking, crouching, and lifting to 15 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regular talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting.
- Moderate to loud noise level.
- Risk of electrical shock.
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $18 - $25 an hour, and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
