Role: Human Resources Benefits Coordinator (HRBC)
Location: Kansas City, Kansas, United States
Shift Timings: 20 hours per week | flexible on times/days ( Possibility to move to full time)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Benefit Program Administration_
- Manage health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, such as ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
Employee Communication_
- Serve as the point of contact for employees regarding benefit plans and options.
- Educate employees about plan features, enrollment processes, and claim procedures.
Enrollment and Records_
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and support new hires with benefit selection.
- Maintain accurate employee benefit records and update them as needed.
Vendor Liaison_
- Communicate with insurance providers and other benefit service vendors to resolve issues.
- Evaluate vendor services to recommend program changes or enhancements.
Cost Management_
- Analyze benefit costs and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor benefit trends to keep programs competitive.
Problem Resolution_
- Address employee concerns or complaints about benefits and escalate as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve benefit claims discrepancies.
Reporting and Auditing_
- Prepare regular reports on benefits enrollment, costs, and participation rates.
- Conduct audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Policy Development: Assist in developing and updating benefits policies in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications: 2-5 years of benefit administration experience
Preferred Skills: 5 years of benefit administration experience
