Business Analyst 4 Richmond, VA Virtual Interview Hybrid
- Hybrid Telework Schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days offsite.
- Important to note: If you candidate is selected for an interview, please be aware (and share with them) that as part of the IV process, they will be provided a USE CASE example in the interview and asked to create a work product of business requirements.
- The panel will then review the work product, then after a debrief of all candidates (consensus among the team/panel), they will make a final decision after all interviews have been conducted. Final decisions will be made after candidates are interviewed and USE CASES reviewed.
- Work with the Project team members and business stakeholders to understand business processes and pain points
- Develop expertise in the customers' business applications
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify system gaps and deficiencies that require a business, technical or blended approach for resolution
- Diagram current processes and proposed modifications using process flows, context diagrams and data flow diagrams
- Discover and document requirements and user stories with a focus on improving both business and technical processing
- Compose requirements and create clear, concise user stories that are easy to understand and implement by technical staff
- Utilize progressive elaboration; map stories to technical design specifications to be used by internal staff to develop the system modifications
- Identify and group related user stories to document the dependencies and associated business processes
- Assist Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog
- Propose alternative solutions that balance cost and benefit, and adequately test a solution's feasibility for business and technical compatibility
- Collaborate with PMO and IM staff and vendor partners as they are engaged on tasks to formulate, detail and test potential and implemented solutions.
- Perform Quality Analyst functions such as defining test objectives, test plans and test cases, and executing test cases
- Coordinate and Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with Business and ensure Project Managers/Owner/Leadership are informed of progress
- Strong ability to deal with ambiguity, frequent change professionally, have interpersonal skills, communication, facilitation, and presentation (written, oral) skills.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to collect business requirements.
- Expert level knowledge of MS Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
- Expert level knowledge creating, identifying, collecting, and managing business and IT requirements (requirements traceability).
- Ability to capture key elements in brainstorming sessions, generate group member direction, and lead group to define and achieve goals.
- Demonstrated experience working in a project management office or supporting numerous projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience gathering, compiling, evaluating, and interpreting complex information, as well as clearly presenting this inform
- Experience working independently, effectively managing multiple tasks and directional changes.
- Develops and/or contributes to project reports including, but not limited to, project status, budget, and dashboards.
- Experience with agile project management projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently, a self-starter and have an inquisitive nature.
- Experience working with Medicaid IT and/or Healthcare systems is a plus.
- PMP or other project certifications desired.
