Job Description:
nLeague is looking for a highly skilled Public Health Outreach Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering education and outreach, building community partnerships, linking clients to services, and documenting progress.
About the Job:
This position requires a strong understanding of addiction recovery processes, recovery-oriented care principles, and medication-assisted recovery practices. You will work closely with community resources, including Syringe Service Providers (SSPs), Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists (ROPS), mental health agencies, and treatment providers, to build effective relationships and foster linkages with other agencies in the assigned county/counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver education aimed at preventing drug overdose deaths and the spread of communicable diseases, such as Hepatitis C and HIV
- Build and maintain partnerships with community resources, including SSPs, ROPS, mental health agencies, and treatment providers
- Connect clients to a range of services, including community mental health, substance use treatment, harm reduction, primary health services, and recovery support services
- Document progress and maintain records to comply with contract, state, grant, and agency requirements
