Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for leading cloud hosted SaaS projects and business change management that focus on leveraging modern technology to improve public safety and Virginia State Police (VSP) customer services statewide. Most projects have a high degree of complexity. In addition, the incumbent will:

• Perform project planning.
• Lead project teams.
• reate and manage project budgets.
• Manage project scope.
• dentify project risks and risk mitigation strategies.
• ead requirements documentation.
• anage relationships and coordinate with interface partners, suppliers and VSP technical staff.
• ead business change management, with an emphasis on effective communications, building stakeholder trust and measuring performance.
• oordinate changes to network infrastructures in partnership with technical staff.
• oordinate the deployment of equipment used by SaaS applications.
• repare reports for VSP and VITA management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Project manager of record on a Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth project of $5 million or more, or completion of non-COV project with a value greater than $10 million.
• Experience managing large projects and PMP certification. Proven leadership skills.
• Advanced computer skills are required that aligns with the Job Description.
• Strong decision-making and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to create and manage project schedules.
• Experience leading organizational change management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
