Job Description: The Mechanical Technician will provide assembly, integration, and test in support of the development of cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage schedule and priorities with moderate daily direction to meet schedule objectives.
- Material handling to include receipt and inspection of components.
- Installation and integration of mechanical and electro-mechanical components (combination of COTS & custom mechanics).
- Operate hand and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies specified by prints, schematics, and BOMS.
- Thermal management systems assembly and test.
- Additional duties related to facility support (clean rooms, chillers).
- Work may be performed at 1851/1841 Lefthand Cir, 1301 Iowa Ave or Table Test Mtn Facility.

- Comfortable working with wide range of basic shop equipment including the use of hand and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies specified by prints, schematics, and BOMS.
- Positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and a willingness to develop creative solutions to time- sensitive problems.
- Familiarity with safe operation of mechanical systems; operate with a safety first mindset.
Additional Desired Experience / Capability:
- Expertise and competence in working with high power laser systems.
- Electrical cables and components assembly and test.
