What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Storeroom Attendant position at NLMK Indiana LLC?
The Senior Attendant must be able to work safely and independently handle multiple tasks within the storeroom.
Ability to work Safely. Ensures the storeroom is kept clean and orderly.
- Issue stock and non-stock parts to proper departments with correct job coding.
- Internal and external customer service skills required to serve the mill.
- Conducts physical inventories on a routine schedule in the computer (Oracle ERP system)
- Accuracy and accountability for all actions
- Receive stock and non-stock parts without error.
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Issue and manage plant repairs, fill out bill of ladings properly.
Essential Skills and qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent required
Experience Forklift trained is preferred.
Physical Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
Requirements Must be capable of working in a steel mill environment.
Skill Must have good analytical abilities, along with sound written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and be self-motivated. Must demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work within a team structure.
Availability Must be available to work all shifts (turn shift), weekends and holidays as required.
Safety Works in a manner consistent with established safety standards. Observes and monitors safety conditions. Corrects or reports any hazards
