NLMK USA is looking for an Inside Sales Representative in our Commercial Department. We are dedicated to providing our employees with a safe, stable workplace where teamwork, attention to detail and quality customer service define our culture.
Job Responsibility: To provide comprehensive customer service from the point of order until the order invoices. This includes all aspects of service for the customer & to be the “voice” on behalf of the customer to all internal NLMK departments.
Job Duties:
- Maintain customer database (customer standard)- set up & maintain customer contacts; create new ship-to addresses; set up contacts to receive reports (ASN’s, certs; order ack., etc.); add shipping information (ie., # of trucks per day, receiving hours, etc.)
- Maintain orders on the desk – collect information on un-entered customer orders & report to Commercial Administrator
- Order entry – Ensure all pertinent information required for order entry is on the customer P.O.; check pricing; check capabilities; work closely with A&R Dept. for accurate routing
- Order Maintenance – expedites (per customer requests); order status to ensure orders are moving through the system; close out orders; send quality related referrals to customers
- Customer service – to be the “voice” of the customer within NLMK
- Work closely with the following Departments: Production Planning – prioritize orders across the units, remakes & re-classed coils; Outside Processing – pickling reworks, etc.; Credit Dept. – Getting new accounts set up, getting orders released for shipment; Traffic Dept. – getting customer material released on a timely basis (collect, PP&A, truck vs. rail, etc.)
- Write up short pays / deducts – research accept / deny
- Maintain customer files – filing customer orders, organize all important paperwork associated with customer order
- Solid communication skills (verbal, written, systems are mandatory. The ability to work with others.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Preferred college degree but not mandatory. Must be able to prioritize on a daily basis. High energy, self starter, ability to deal with conflict and resolve problems.
