Job Summary
Supply Chain Supervisor facilitates the purchase, transit and receipt of raw materials and packaging to support production. Responsibilities range from PO creation, supplier follow-up and relationship management, Utilize and maintain MRP tools and Review Inventories at NLX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage external MRP tools for calculating raw material and packaging needs to support production
- Manage the material ordering process from creation to tracking to fulfillment/receipt at the plant
- Maintain supplier and carrier relationships
- Address/Resolve order-related discrepancies in product shipped, quantity, quality in which it was received or non-OTD shipments and notify appropriate parties involved
- Notify Production, Planning and Supply Chain teams of any disruptions potentially impacting production as scheduled at the plant
- Collaborate with the Sourcing/Procurement and Planning/Scheduling Departments for all formulation, ingredient, or vendor related modifications
- Consistently review raw material and packaging inventory valuation and minimize excess inventories
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all Safety policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for NLX
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all Quality policies and procedures including Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)

Act as backup for Warehouse and Production Assistant cross-training in the following duties
- Cross reference final counts in production packets with cycle counts for work order close
- Close work orders as production runs are completed, ensure any outstanding work orders are closed by the 3rd of the month
- Assist Trainer with updating SOPs as needed
- Work with department heads and supervisors for continuous improvement of paperwork process
- Pallet tracking
- Work order close summary report
- Position will require some travel (<25%) to Corporate and/or other plant for training, meetings, and other business needs
- Perform all other duties assigned
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years Supply Chain Experience
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Comprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of a calculator
- Strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel and experience with Sage or similar ERP system
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Ability to communicate well both written and orally within the organization
- Ability to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center
- Team Oriented - being helpful, respectful, approachable, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment, is responsible, honest, loyal, interacts with others tactfully, resolves conflicts appropriately, and adapts to change
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work well under changing demands

- High school diploma or GED, minimum 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
