Description
We are seeking a licensed and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Functional Restoration Program team. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients with chronic pain and physical impairments restore function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. This is an onsite position in Sacramento, CA and is open to full-time or part-time schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Physical Therapists and Physicians
- Therapeutic exercise demonstrations
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and pain management strategies to encourage active participation in their recovery process
- Modality application
- Taking vitals and gathering patient updates
- Assist in group activities and workshops designed to promote functional improvement and psychosocial well-being
- Light administrative tasks including documentation and reports
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) therapy program
- Current CA licensure
- Fluent in both English and Spanish languages is a plus
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and functional training
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Tech-savvy (especially Zoom) with the ability to learn quickly
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation or chronic pain management setting is a plus
- Prior experience in leading a group class is preferred but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting and supporting patients during treatment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 β 40 per week
