Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Yoga and Meditation instructor to join our Functional Restoration Program team. The ideal candidate will design and deliver therapeutic yoga and meditation sessions that complement the program’s goals of pain management, stress reduction, and physical rehabilitation. This role is integral in helping patients develop mindfulness and improve physical and emotional well-being as part of their recovery journey. This is an onsite position in Sacramento, CA and would be available to part-time schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct yoga sessions tailored to individual and group needs, focusing on functional movement, strength, and flexibility
- Guide meditation and mindfulness practices to support stress management and mental resilience
- Adapt exercises for patients with chronic pain, injuries, or physical limitations
- Work closely with physical therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to align yoga and meditation practices with the program’s treatment plans
- Provide feedback on patient progress and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Teach patients breathing techniques, relaxation methods, and mindfulness strategies for pain management
- Encourage the development of self-care routines incorporating yoga and meditation
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants
- Monitor patient responses during sessions and adjust practices as needed
- Stay informed about best practices and advancements in therapeutic yoga and mindfulness techniques
Requirements
- Certified Yoga Instructor
- Certification or experience in meditation, mindfulness, or related practices preferred
- Experience teaching yoga and meditation in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is a plus
- Experience working with patients managing chronic pain, injuries, or emotional stress is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the relationship between movement and pain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Motivational skills are highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
