Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing a variety of operational activities to ensure the successful transport of cell therapy products. This role’s main responsibilities are divided into two categories: BioTherapies transports and core NMDP courier transports. The Logistics Associate is expected to work with both teams and will have a variety of tasks assigned to them from both teams in order to complete successful transports. Ensures transportation activities are performed in accordance with NMDP procedures, policies and standards, including those of patient and donor confidentiality. Assists in the tracking, cleaning, packaging, and distribution of various blood product shipping containers. This is a hybrid position in Minneapolis.

Accountabilities

Administrative Assistant

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Possesses solid judgment to escalate in a timely manner.
- Provide correct and accurate labeling to NMDP couriers for product transport
- Expertise in document formatting to optimize printing efficiencies
- Manage high volume of print requests with hard deadlines
- Maintain an accurate contact list for shipping and communication
- Investigates transport delays and errors to identify issues and escalates when necessary for resolution to ensure timely delivery of transport packets.
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment
- Configure and properly set up dataloggers for data collection requirements for clients
- Maintaining equipment records
- Assemble and prepare goods for shipment
- Assists in the tracking, cleaning, packaging, and distribution of various blood product shipping containers.
- Maintain a complete inventory and order supplies regularly and in a timely manner
- Collaborates and maintains relationships with logistics services suppliers.
- Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory.
- Receiving, labeling, and safely storing supplies for future cell transport
Knowledge of:
- Understands the principles of confidentiality in a medical setting.
- Have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Products, particularly One Note and Outlook
- One year of combined experience in a quality-controlled environment in any of the following disciplines: Supplier management, Not-for-profit, or Healthcare. On evaluation, previous experience in a relevant position in an NMDP department may be substituted for the experience requirement.
