Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to oversee the management and maintenance of our innovative collaboration and presentation system. As the administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, user support, and continuous improvement of the Think Hub T1V system. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities will be crucial in optimizing the functionality and usability of this cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer the Think Hub T1V system, including hardware, software, and network components
- Install, configure, and maintain Think Hub T1V software and associated applications
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, addressing their inquiries and resolving any technical problems
- Operate as tier 3 CSSP and work with ISSO to ensure cybersecurity policies are in place and enforced to include STIGs and best practices
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure integration, compatibility, and scalability of the Think Hub T1V system with both existing and future infrastructure and software
- Regularly update system software and firmware to ensure security, stability, and optimal performance
- Collaborate with vendors and external support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues when necessary
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware components and software licenses related to the Think Hub T1V system
- Conduct regular system backups and implement data recovery measures to safeguard critical information
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements related to collaboration and presentation technologies, proposing innovative solutions to enhance the Think Hub T1V system's functionality
Requirements:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Job location is in the National Capital Region (Fort Belvoir, Dahlgren Air Force Base)
- Up to 50% CONUS travel
- 8-10 years of proven experience in system administration, preferably with expertise in managing collaboration and presentation systems.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security ) (or higher)
- Windows Server or Linux Administration certification
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and Apple operating systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the Think Hub T1V system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide user support and training effectively.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate system configuration, software updates, and inventory management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to identify system improvements and implement solutions.
- Familiarity with network protocols, security measures, and data backup procedures.
- Knowledge of other collaboration and presentation systems (e.g., SharePoint, smart boards, and interactive displays) is a plus.
Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000
