We are looking for an experienced Cable Contractor / Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the installation and repair of various cable systems, including data, coaxial, and fiber optics, and will have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of cable systems, including TV, internet, phone, and networking cables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for clients, ensuring systems are functioning optimally.
- Run cable lines, install cable outlets, and set up necessary equipment for customers’ needs.
- Perform site surveys and assessments to determine the best cable layout and installation methods.
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, codes, and safety standards during all work.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and offering advice on cable installation and maintenance.
- Work independently to manage your schedule, complete jobs on time, and ensure quality service.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and customer details.
- Communicate with clients to schedule appointments, offer troubleshooting support, and advise on potential upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in cable installation, maintenance, or related field.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of cable types (coaxial, fiber, ethernet) and network installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot cable issues, including poor signal, outages, and connectivity problems.
- Familiarity with cable equipment, such as modems, routers, and network switches.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to clients.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow technical diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Cable-related certifications (e.g., BICSI, Low Voltage) are a plus but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in tight spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fiber optic cable installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of home networking, smart home installations, or VOIP systems.
- OSHA safety certification or other relevant training.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
