No Meat Factory is looking for a QA Supervisor to join our team! This role is for the 2pm or 3pm start time with an 8-hour shift. This individual will be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays based on operational needs.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the implementation and execution of the food safety, quality assurance and quality control programs. The QA Supervisor will lead, train and guide QA/QC Technicians to ensure that product quality, food safety / HACCP, traceability, good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and other relevant standards and procedures are met and followed as per No Meat Factory’s Quality Management System.

Job Duties

  • Support the VP of Quality and Innovation in leading the on-site Quality Department to ensure
  • quality and food safety standards are met in daily production activities.
  • Ensure smooth operations of the quality team by adhering to established standards and
  • procedures and providing leadership support.
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing compliance with BRCGS Standards and best practices for food safety and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, HACCP, CCP monitoring, and GMP programs, and oversee the operational implementation, maintenance, and performance of the food safety program during daily operations.
  • Monitor compliance with quality standards and production record requirements in daily operations.
  • Manage analytical and microbiological sampling, testing, and reporting.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring programs, sanitation verification, and sanitation audits.
  • Manage equipment calibration and calibration schedules.
  • Assist the VP of Quality and Innovation with the release of finished products and approval of pick lists for shipping.
  • Identify and document non-conformances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken as appropriate.
  • Oversee the non-conformance process, including control and disposition of non-conforming materials and products, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and resolution of non-compliances and non-conformances.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Food Technology, Food Science or relevant education and/or training.
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Quality Management Systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or equivalent role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues with
  • discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and Quality Management Systems. * Intermediate to
  • advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office suite required (MS Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).
  • Leadership capability and ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of the
  • organization.
  • High attention to detail and meticulous.
  • Adaptable, resourceful and a willingness to learn.

Working Conditions

  • This role will be required to work both day and afternoon shifts, depending on business needs.
  • Overtime hours, statutory holidays and weekend work will be required.
  • This is an on-site position working a combination of on-the-floor (90%) and in an office setting (10%).
  • This position will be required to work in areas with varying conditions, temperatures and noise. The incumbent will be required to wear PPE and may be exposed common food allergens.
  • Lifting may be required from time-to-time ( /- 20 lbs).
  • Long periods of standing, sitting and bending required for the role.
  • Will be exposed to a noisy and wet environment with varying temperatures.
  • Allergens present – e.g. soy, wheat, etc.
  • Required to wear PPE such as safety boots, hair nets, lab coats and more.
  • No jewelry allowed on the production floor.

Compensation range for this position in Stanwood, Washington: $26 to $30 per hour. The compensation depends on qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, accrued paid time off plan annually, personal medical and parental leave, paid holidays, and family care benefits.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
