What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Float Plane Pilot position at NO SEEUM LODGE?
No See Um has been fishing and flying in Bristol Bay since 1975. We are completely off the grid and road system and accessible via aircraft or boat only. We make or process our own power, water and all normal utilities. We are seeking an experienced float plane pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate is able to not just work well independently, but also as part of the team. We are also looking for a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude.
Pilot applicant must meet all of the following requirements:
· Hold Commercial & Instrument rating
· Hold a Single Engine Sea rating
· Have a minimum of 1,500 total time of which at least 1,000 hours are in a complex aircraft and a minimum of 300 hours of float time of which at least 100 hours in a De Havilland Beaver on floats.
· Hold a second class Medical
· Alaska time is preferred
Responsibilities:
Safety is our top priority. We do, however, expect our pilots to be capable bush pilots which entails being able to handle high winds, lower visibility, and ceilings within safety minimums.
Assist on the dock with loading and unloading gear, helping clients in and out of planes, fueling, etc.
Keeping the aircraft clean.
Tuesday through Sunday will be spent flying clients to and from fishing spots. For most of the day, while the clients are fishing, you will have plenty of time for a break.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive monthly salary which will DOE, plus tips. Also included are all meals and housing. Staff cabins have wifi and satellite TV.
Season:
Starts June 1 2025 and goes through the first week of October. We work 7 days a week for the duration of the season.
