POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Specialist will execute a variety of laboratory and manufacturing tasks under the direction and supervision of our Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Lead. They will be responsible for assisting in product processing and formulation. They complete tasks assigned by the Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Lead to operate lab equipment, monitor, and maintain cleanliness and efficiency, and drive quality control while always being compliant. This individual must be able to multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. This candidate must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.

Core Job Duties (including but not limited to):
- Support the production team by assisting in day-to-day manufacturing activities
- Learn how to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment under supervision
- Assist in quality control procedures, including inspections and testing of raw materials and finished products
- Learn to identify and report deviations from quality standards
- Familiarize yourself with local, state, and federal regulations governing cannabis manufacturing
- Work with experienced staff to ensure manufacturing processes comply with regulatory requirements
- Learn to monitor and maintain manufacturing equipment
- Assist in routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions or abnormalities
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various manufacturing processes
- Contribute to the development and improvement of SOPs as needed
- Assist in managing inventory levels and tracking raw materials and finished goods
- Learn inventory control systems and procedures
- Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to safety protocols
- Learn and follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) to ensure a safe working environment
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Core Competencies:
- Working knowledge of State of Hawai’i laws, regulations, and rules related to medical marijuana
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.?
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment?
- Ability to work well, individually and in teams, with a diverse group of people. Must have excellent people skills
Education & Background Requirements:
- Must have valid, unexpired, driver’s license
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
- Minimum of 21 years of age as required by state statute
- Must have DOH clearance and Fingerprinting, per applicable requirements set forth under state statute
- High School Diploma or GED required?
- 2-3 years of Lab experience (or applicable field) preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push & pull 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Ability to sit, squat, bend & kneel repetitively throughout an 8–10-hour workday
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Work Schedule: Varies; Monday - Thursday; 6:30a – 5p (weekends & holidays as needed)
Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full-time
Starting Pay: $18/Hr.
